Day #41 Canvas Creations – Part 2
by Sara le Roux, Owner and Inspirer at The Creation Station Penistone and District
So today is all about collage! We need to finish off the canvas for ‘Nana’ and get it put away ready for Christmas. I love the collage bit of our activities. There is just so much choice out there – whether it be sequins, glitter, gemstones, foam shapes, buttons, match sticks – you name it, I’m sure it could be used as collage material some where 🙂
What You’ll Need
- Collage Material – whatever you have in…sequins, glitter, buttons etc
- PVA Glue and Spreader
Whenever I do an ‘Arty Birthday Party’ or class I always end up with a bunch of collage materials at the end that are all mixed up and that I just cannot face separating – behold the collage ‘pick n mix’!
I love this! It’s a sparkly, twinkly, jumbled mish mash of materials but it’s great for random collage. You just pour it out into a bowl and watch your little one spend ages sorting through it and selecting their goodies – plus nothing has been thrown away!
I let Boo get on with his ‘stickin’ Mummy’ as he can be quite particular about where things are to be placed. When he’s more comfortable he asks me to be chief gluer and eventually I even get to place some things on the canvas!!
Sparkly Canvas Loveliness!
Day #41 DONE! 59 to go!
